HOW
TO OBTAIN DIPLOMA TRANSCRIPTS FROM DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (DTE),
BANGALORE
In education, a transcript is an
inventory of the courses taken and grades earned of a student throughout a
course of study. There are official transcripts and transcripts which can be
made by the student and verified and attested by an authorized person.
A
transcript is sometimes referred to as a marksheet, marklist or report card.In the United
States, a transcript is also called Cumulative Record File (CRF), permanent record, or simply record.In the European ECTS system, transcripts are called Transcript of Records.
For study or job
application in abroad we require transcripts of the course. When I went through
the website of DTE, Bangalore http://dte.kar.nic.inthere is no mention of the
procedure to obtain transcripts (till date) & some of the diploma colleges
in Karnataka too don’t have clarity about the procedure to obtain transcripts.
So I have complied the procedure to obtain the transcripts.
Ø Reach board of technical education office.
Address- ThantrikaShikshanaBhavan,
Palace Road, AmbedkarVeedhi, Sampangi Rama Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560001

Ø After reaching board, go to 5th floor room no-501. In the left corner of the room
there is a lady who handles the transcript. Enquire about the challan amount.
Presently it is Rs.3000/- for n number of transcripts. Take challan photocopy
from that lady or from the Xerox shop besides canteen inside the campus.
Ø Go to SBI shivajinagar branch, only in shivajinagar branch we can pay
the challan amount. From DTE book a cab or take BMTC bus no-129 to reach the
bank.

Ø After reaching the bank, pay challan. Details to fill challan has been
displayed in the bank’s display board which is visible as you enter the bank.
Ø Return back to board after paying challan. Write a letter to secretary
of DTE requesting transcripts. Take the sign of secretary on the letter and
submit it along with the challan to the lady in room no-501
Ø She will give u a date to collect your transcripts and mention number of
transcripts you need.
Ø On the day of collecting transcripts, they will show you the transcript.
Check if there are any errors.
Ø If everything is ok then they will put the transcript in envelop and
seal it. Take the signature of secretary over that seal & your transcript
is ready.

The instructions are available at room# 501. I should get the transcript in a weeks time.

I went to DTE recently following is the document they asked for transcript
ReplyDelete1. Xerox copies of marks card(3 years) and diploma course completion certificate
2. Need to carry original marks card and course completion for validation.
3. Fee of 3000 rs need to paid. it can be done online through http://k2.karnataka.gov.in
Following are details
category: goverment
district : bengaluru urban
deparment : depeartment of technical education
DDO office : directorate of technical education,bengalure
DDO number : 142540
purpose : board of technical education exam fee
HOA: 0202 - 02-101-0-01-000
sub purpose : transcript fee
amount : 3000
click on add
select mode of payment and pay
-get payment of acknoledgement and receipt
4. submit above document with fees receipt at room number 501
5. They even do attestation of marks if required in above 3000rs fees. for that you need to carry 10 zerox of all marks card and course completion.
6. They ask to come back after a week to collect.

Today when I went to request transcript for WES additional document apart from the one mentioned was WES filled in form. also the representative asked me to collect the transcript on 10th Sep ( she shared her contact , just check before I come to collect) .
DeleteI did ask that this would need to be posted to WES by them , she mentioned on the day I come to collect, I can pay 1000 Rs for the courier and they would courier the transcript to WES.

ReplyDeleteEffective from Dec 1st 2018, WES says the University/Board should send the transcripts directly to them, not individuals. Has anybody applied for the transcripts after this date from DTE board? Are they(Board) ready to send transcripts to WES directly?

ReplyDeleteThey will give you transcript to check, if no errors, they will hand it to you in sealed envelop only. So, take that envelop, then place it in another envelop that contains attested xerox of your course completeion and all semester markscard(cosolidated if mutliple attempts) and courier it yourself.
